The conversations that take place in a church, a heavy duty trucking garage, and in a professional sports locker room are very different.

However, each employee in those places should feel the same level of belonging and deserves the same level of respect from those in charge, no matter skill level, development and colour of skin.

Good on the NHL to try make that happen in its unique culture of pro sport.
