The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s help as it investigates a shooting that occurred Friday evening.
According to a media release issued Monday, officers responded at about 6 p.m. to a house in the 300 block of Retallack Street for a report of an injured man.
Officers found a 35-year-old man who had sustained a gunshot wound to one of his arms. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Investigators determined the man had been walking in a park off the 3200 block of Avonhurst Drive when he met two men going in the other direction.
“There was minor physical contact and then a verbal confrontation,” the police release said. “At that point, it’s alleged one of the males pulled out a firearm and shot at the victim.”
The suspects ran off. The first is described as being about 5-foot-9, while the other is about 6-foot-2. Both were described as being slim and wearing black clothing.
