The arrival of 2020 is looking pretty decent weather-wise for Saskatchewan.
This weekend is another big travelling one and Environment Canada’s Dan Fulton says if you’re hitting the road or sky ahead of New Year celebrations, the weather is looking clear unless you’re travelling to the east. There is a Colorado low that will affect south-eastern Manitoba and north-western Ontario.
It’s expected to warm up in Saskatchewan heading into 2020.
“We’re actually looking at lows for New Year’s Eve around the -9 C mark and highs for New Year’s Day around -3 C,” Fulton said.
The normal for the beginning of January in Saskatchewan is -10 C.
And Fulton says there’s not much snowfall for Saskatchewan for the first few days of the new year.
“Should be actually a pretty nice stretch of weather as we move into 2020,” he said.
