Death of La Ronge woman found along highway deemed a homicide

The death of a woman found 8 kilometres north of La Ronge on December 23 is being investigated as a murder.

RCMP say the body of 28-year-old Sheena Marie Billette of La Ronge was found by a motorist along Highway 102.

An autopsy was completed Friday in Regina. Based on their findings and information obtained during the investigation, her death has been deemed a homicide.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit and La Ronge RCMP continue to investigate.

Anyone with information on Billette’s whereabouts, activities, and interactions during the last week of her life are being asked to contact La Ronge RCMP or CrimeStoppers.
