La Ronge RCMP are on the lookout for a man who escaped from custody prior to his Monday court appearance.
John Riley Sanderson, 32, was set to appear in provincial court to face several weapons and driving charges; however, sometime around noon RCMP say he managed to free himself.
He hasn’t been seen since.
At the time of his escape, Sanderson was wearing a provincial corrections prison uniform — green pants, a grey shirt and a blue and white patterned jacket with the letters “PACC” emblazoned on it.
RCMP believe he is still in the La Ronge area.
Anyone who sees him is being asked to contact RCMP or to call 9-1-1.
