Police have arrested three people suspected in connection with a weekend home invasion near the former site of Taylor Field.
On Saturday at about 9:30 p.m., police were called to Rae Street and Ninth Avenue after reports that four armed people had forced their way into a home.
There was gunfire before the suspects fled in a grey Chrysler 300.
Hours later, at 2:15 a.m. Sunday, that car was spotted near Fourth Avenue and Lewvan Drive. Police tried stopping the car but it took off.
Officers later found the car in an alley near Garry Street and Fifth Avenue, and three suspects were seen fleeing.
With the help of police dogs, the trio was arrested.
