A 22-year-old man faces several charges including forcible confinement after an incident near Princess Street and Dewdney Avenue on the weekend.
Police say that on Sunday night, a woman came home to find a man inside. There was some kind of altercation, during which the man prevented her from leaving.
The woman was able to escape and call 911. As she waited for Regina police members to arrive, she saw someone driving away in her vehicle.
The Regina Police Service contacted the RCMP for help and Mounties tried stopping the vehicle on Highway 11. They were led on a low-speed chase before the driver pulled over about 10 minutes later.
Among the charges the man faces are: Break-and-enter with intent, forcible confinement, vehicle theft, theft under $5,000, mischief under $5,000, distributing an intimate image without consent, and flight from a peace officer.
The man and the woman are known to each other.
