Regina’s downtown mall is filling some vacancies.
The Cornwall Centre announced Monday that four new stores are to open in the mall in the spring.
Two of them are to fill the space previously occupied by Sears, which closed its Cornwall Centre location in 2017.
Fashion store Ardene is to fill 15,000 square feet of the former Sears space on the main level of the mall. Meanwhile, Urban Planet will open a 45,000-square-foot location on the second floor where Sears used to be.
Eclipse, a women’s clothing store, is to open a 1,900-square-foot store on the second floor beside The Source. And Gong Cha Bubble Tea is to move into a 300-square-foot store on the second floor beside Laura Secord.
“We look forward to welcoming these new tenants to the space and continuing to provide our customers with a diverse and exciting shopping experience,” Doug Bailey, the Cornwall Centre’s retail manager, said in a media release.
The mall has lost a few retailers in recent months, with Roots, The Gap, GapKids, Payless and Bentley shutting their outlets. As well, Volcom closed on Jan. 12, and Eddie Bauer is to shut its doors on Friday.
