Four men were injured Thursday when a train and an SUV collided at a crossing east of Balcarres.
According to a media release issued Friday, the Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP responded Thursday at 4:30 p.m., to a rail crossing north of Highway 10. The crossing is controlled by a stop sign.
One of the passengers of the SUV was ejected from the vehicle; he subsequently was transported to hospital in Regina. The other three occupants of the vehicle were taken to hospital in Fort Qu’Appelle for treatment.
The RCMP investigation is continuing with the assistance of the CN Police Service. Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
