Regina firefighters were busy battling a main-level blaze at a home on the 1200 block of Rae Street early Friday morning.
The fire was confined to only that area, but it forced a family of seven that lived there out of its home, acting deputy fire chief Gord Hewitt said.
That prompted mobile crisis to respond and help the five kids and two adults.
Hewitt added that by 6:30 a.m., no one had been injured by the fire.
He said the home sustained extensive smoke damage, but neighbouring buildings weren’t affected by the fire.
