A 47-year-old Regina man has been charged with sexual interference and sexual assault.
A media release Friday from the Regina Police Service said Antoine James Quewezance was charged after a two-month-long investigation by the Regina Children’s Justice Centre. That unit comprises police investigators and social workers who look into allegations of child abuse.
The investigation was launched after officers learned of the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl. The accused knows the victim, but isn’t related to her.
Quewezance was released on a recognizance and is to make his first court appearance on March 11.
