An 18-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a 17-year-old man Friday on the Star Blanket First Nation.
Shauntay Keewatin of the Star Blanket First Nation was arrested shortly after the victim was found dead in his home. Keewatin was to make his first court appearance in Fort Qu’Appelle Provincial Court on Monday.
On Friday, Mounties received a report of an altercation at a home on the First Nation at around 8:35 p.m. Officers from the File Hills Police Service responded and found the 17-year-old dead inside the house.
