Super Bowl LIV was exactly the game we all want every year.
Great stories, great drama, a great halftime show and a great fourth quarter.
We got it all on Sunday.
First, the Kansas City Chiefs did what they’ve done all playoffs, which was look at a deficit and not flinch: They scored 21 straight points in the fourth quarter and pulled out a 31-20 win.
49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan lives his nightmare again for blowing a lead in the fourth quarter, just like he witnessed as the offensive co-ordinator in Atlanta for the infamous 28-3 championship game.
It’s the first championship in the long coaching career for Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.
We had big plays, close plays, debatable penalties and a lengthy touchdown review which had everyone glued to the replays to see if Damien Williams did indeed score. He did.
Patrick Mahomes is starting a legendary legacy and will be must-watch television for years to come.
And finally, the halftime show: Shakira and Jennifer Lopez didn’t disappoint.
Sadly though … football is over until June, unless you’re actually going to watch the XFL.
