Two men have been charged after three robberies in Regina on Sunday evening and Monday morning.
The Regina Police Service says a store on Cavendish Street was robbed on Sunday just before 6 p.m. A man entered the business with a knife and demanded money before leaving the scene in a vehicle.
Officers tried to track the suspect with a K9 unit, but couldn’t find him.
On Sunday at about 10:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to a store on Broadway Avenue after being told two men entered the business and demanded money from an employee. The suspects left the store without getting any cash or merchandise.
Then, on Monday at about 12:15 a.m., police were sent to a business on Eastgate Drive. Officers were told two men had been hiding in the parking lot and, as employees were closing the store for the night, the suspects approached.
Police say the men chased a female employee to her truck, then tried — and failed — to get into the business. The suspects then left the area.
Later Monday, officers located a vehicle that matched the description of one used in one of the robberies. After further investigation, police arrested the suspects.
The men, aged 26 and 24, appeared in court Tuesday.
