8:30 – The lockout at the Co-op Refinery Complex in Regina could be closer to an end, after some major developments yesterday. The parties were back in court yesterday, and the CRC asked a judge to fine Unifor Local 549 $1 million and jail its leaders if they continue their non-compliance with previous court injunctions. Meanwhile, amid widespread fuel shortage caused by Unifor’s blockade, the union pitched an end to the dispute saying they want to take Scott Moe up on his offer of a mediator to craft a binding settlement, and will immediately end their picketing if Co-op removes its replacement workers. Co-op CEO Scott Banda joins Gormley to discuss the latest in the dispute, and his response to Unifor’s latest announcement.
