There weren’t any injuries after a Tuesday night house fire in Regina — not even for the firefighter who fell straight through the second floor onto the main level.
The fire happened at a home on the 1300 block of Rae Street in the city’s North Central neighbourhood.
Fire trucks got there at about 8:15 p.m., Acting Deputy Chief Gord Hewitt said.
Once they fought the flames down, firefighters went inside to look for anyone.
That’s when one of the firefighters fell through the floor.
“He was uninjured, thankfully. When that happened, crews were evacuated. They managed to suppress the fire from the outside,” Hewitt said.
He said the firefighter was OK and recovering.
The fire was captured on video by Queen City Patrol, a citizen group.
Footage posted to Facebook showed flames and smoke billowing out of the house.
