More performers have been announced for The Juno Awards next month in Saskatoon.
Country artist Meghan Patrick will be performing at the awards show. City and Colour (Dallas Green) will also take the stage, along with Alexandra Streliski.
“Probably a little known artist in the rest of Canada, but is huge in Quebec. Alexandra Streliski is an instrumental pianist and she is going to accompany City and Colour on a song,” said Allan Reid, President of the Juno Awards.
It was also announced that Indigenous artist iskwe will take the stage to perform, as well as Ali Gatie.
“Ali is a phenomenal R&B Artist managed by the same team that manages The Weeknd. And he has just begun to explode globally, so we are thrilled to have him on the bill,” said Reid.
And last but not least, a local group from Regina, The Dead South, will also perform at the Juno Awards.
“So a little bit of Saskatchewan flavour in there for the show as well.”
The recently announced performers will join Daniel Caesar, Lennon Stella, The Glorious Sons and Tory Lanez and host Alessia Cara.
And for the first time since 2013, Canadian icon Anne Murray will be making an appearance at the Juno awards. She will be welcoming Jann Arden to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
March 9-15 is Juno Week in Saskatoon. The 49th annual Juno Awards take place at SaskTel Centre Sunday, March 15.
