Two men accused of attacking a Regina woman face domestic-related assault charges.
In a release, Regina police said they responded to a report of an assault against a 39-year-old woman Friday morning on the 1400 block of Lacon Street.
During the arrests, police said one of the suspects who appeared intoxicated, retreated to the kitchen and then rushed toward the officer with a large knife sharpener.
The suspect was zapped twice with a Taser after pulling one of the probes out of his chest following the first shot.
A 43-year-old man and a 20-year-old man are both charged with assault. The 43-year-old is facing an additional charge of assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
Police said the woman declined aid from paramedics and was taken to the home of a family member.
