Woman suffers serious injuries in house fire on Elphinstone

One woman was sent to hospital after emergency crews were called to a house fire early Sunday morning on Elphinstone Street.

Police got to the house near 8th Avenue shortly after midnight to help other emergency responders already on scene.

They found the woman inside with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
