A 31-year-old Regina woman has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run Friday that left a 93-year-old woman with serious injuries.
In a media release Monday, the Regina Police Service said Jessica Michelle Weber had been charged with failure to stop after an accident that results in bodily harm. She’s to appear in court April 14.
Police say the incident occurred Friday at about 4:20 p.m., at the intersection of College Avenue and Elphinstone Street.
The victim was walking eastbound across Elphinstone when she was hit by a car that was travelling westbound on College. The car didn’t stop after the collision and turned south on Elphinstone.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
