11:00 – After a drive which yielded 3,599 signatures, Wexit Saskatchewan has applied for official party registration, which would make the separatist group the sixth official political party in Saskatchewan. The separatist movement has gained steam since Trudeau’s re-election in October, and recent events such as the withdrawal of the application for the Frontier Mine in Alberta have fanned the fires. Wexit Saskatchewan expects their application to be processed in two weeks, and then the group can begin selling memberships and registering candidates.
