A 27-year-old Regina man has been charged with two counts of animal cruelty after police found one cat dead and another one injured early Tuesday.
In a media release, the Regina Police Service said officers were sent at about 6 a.m., to the 800 block of Athol Street for a report of a disturbance in a vehicle.
Police located the vehicle and inside found the man and an injured cat. The man was arrested and charged with causing unnecessary pain to an animal.
When officers found another cat dead in the same area, a second charge of causing unnecessary pain to an animal was added.
The man made his first court appearance Tuesday.
