8:30 – A lot of people are feeling cooped up while we practice social distancing and try to stay six feet away from everyone we encounter, and many people are worried that even brief contact could spread the virus further. Dr. Alexander Crizzle is a professor in the University of Saskatchewan’s School of Public Health, and he joins Gormley to discuss the Dos and Don’ts of social distancing and go over the best practices we should all be following during the COVID-19 outbreak.

9:00 – The Hour of the Big Stories… Open Session
10:00 – Schools across Saskatchewan are winding down in advance of closing Friday. While students will receive a final grade based on their current marks and all Grade 12 students eligible to graduate will do so, there are still a lot of unanswered questions. The provincial government has put together a response team to help work through the transition, with members from a number of stakeholder groups and experts. Education Minister Gordon Wyant joins Gormley to discuss the transition, the logistics involved, and how education in Saskatchewan will look in the coming days and weeks.

10:30 – A number of local groups have popped up offering their assistance to more vulnerable and less fortunate residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Austin Cooper is a law student in Saskatoon, and with his classes cancelled has teamed up with others to create a local support network and ensure nobody runs out of supplies. Cooper says their Facebook group “Saskatoon Covid-19 Humans Helping Humans” has already had requests for assistance starting to trickle in, and they’re expecting more in coming days. He says they’ve also had a ton of offers from others who want to lend assistance as well. Cooper joins Gormley to discuss the project and how they’re hoping to help.
