A 15-year-old boy is facing charges after a man was robbed early Saturday in Regina.
According to the Regina Police Service, officers got a call of a weapons offence at about 4:30 a.m., in the area of Wallace Street and Victoria Avenue.
A man said he had been approached by a female and two males, one of whom pulled out a knife. The man tried to run, but he tripped, fell and dropped some belongings. The suspects picked up the items while the man ran away.
Officers in the area subsequently saw three people matching the descriptions of the suspects. As the officers approached, the three tried to run but the 15-year-old was arrested.
He was charged with robbery, obstructing a peace officer and failure to comply with a probation order. The teen, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, appeared in court Monday.
