An 18-year-old woman has been charged with drunk driving after somebody drove into a building on Dewdney Avenue near Pasqua Street early Sunday morning.
According to Regina police, the incident was reported at about 2 a.m. in the 4200 block of Dewdney Avenue.
They say the vehicle had plowed through a brick wall and came to a stop inside the building.
EMS attended to the driver but decided no treatment was needed. A woman was the only occupant in the vehicle.
The driver was charged with drunk driving and exceeding 80 mg of alcohol within 2 hours of operating a vehicle.
The building that got smashed up houses the Come and Learn Regina Aboriginal Head Start Centre.
Sunday morning, tiny bits of shattered glass, a door handle from a vehicle and broken bits of plastic were scattered around the side of the boarded-up building.
