Regina police arrested Jason Paul Thorne on Sunday afternoon, two days after the convicted sex offender deemed a high risk to reoffend was reported unlawfully at large.
Police said Thorne, 43, left the place he was supposed to stay under conditions of his release just before midnight Friday. They also say he cut off an electronic monitoring device.
A warrant was issued Saturday and Thorne was taken into custody Sunday at about 3:30 p.m., near Montreal Street and 12th Avenue.
He was arrested along with a 41-year-old man who also left the home where he was supposed to stay as part of his statutory release.
