People who need to go to Saskatchewan’s hospitals and health authority-run facilities won’t have to worry about plugging a meter for parking through the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) announced Thursday they were temporarily suspending all parking fees effective immediately.
Patients, employees, nurses and doctors won’t have to pay for parking due to the policy change. People at hospitals for compassionate reasons also won’t be charged.
The SHA is reminding the public that visitors aren’t allowed in SHA-operated hospitals, clinics or care centres except for compassionate reasons — including immediate family during end of life care or just prior to major surgery.
