Owners of older-model Ford pickup trucks beware — someone may be looking to steal your ride.
According to the Regina Police Service, Ford Super Duty F-250 and F-350 trucks have been the most popular vehicles to steal in the city of late.
From March 24 through Tuesday, 10 of the 19 stolen vehicles in Regina were those makes and models. Police say the thefts aren’t happening in any specific location in Regina, but rather across the city.
“Police are encouraging owners of older-model Ford Super Duty F-250 and F-350 trucks to use an anti-theft device (steering wheel club) to ensure the security of their vehicle,” the police said in a media release.
The police also reminded residents to keep their vehicles locked, to remove garage door openers from their vehicles, and to avoid leaving valuables (especially keys) in plain sight inside.
Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500.
