Canada’s chief public health officer previously said it wouldn’t be helpful, but this week acknowledged that wearing a non-medical mask in public can prevent you from potentially spreading COVID-19 to others. 12:00 – Paul Hills, president of the Saskatoon Paramedic Association, is working with Mid-West Sportswear in Saskatoon to design and produce re-usable masks. Hills says their masks are comfortable and hold up to multiple washings, and while the masks aren’t medically rated he says every bit helps when trying to curb the spread of COVID-19. Hills says he plans to donate masks to Ronald McDonald House and other charitable groups, and he joins Gormley to tell him more.
