Yesterday was supposed to be the first day of the NHL playoffs. Today was to be Round 1 of the Masters. Those are two major events that have me thinking about all the great moments we’re missing right now.
To think this weekend will mark exactly one month since the NBA’s Rudy Gobert was announced as positive for COVID-19 and the sports world shut down.
Yes, sports fans, you’ve gone a month without hockey, basketball and baseball.
But instead of focusing on what we’re missing, how about the potential of what’s ahead?
The NBA saying playoffs in September means the NHL could be on the same path.
So CFL, NFL, plus NHL and NBA playoffs? Yes please! It’ll be a plethora of options and could be a remarkable time for sports fans even if we’re not allowed to attend and just have to stay at home.
And who knows? Maybe they’ll reschedule the Masters for September. I’m just going to hold on to this dream right now.
