Police are investigating after a three-year-old girl died Thursday afternoon.
Members of the Prince Albert Police Service were called to a home on the 800 block of 17th Street West Wednesday night. Officers assisted members of Parkland Ambulance as they responded to a person in cardiac arrest.
Upon investigating, police found the girl unresponsive. Paramedics conducted life-saving efforts while en route to the Victoria Hospital. The girl was transported to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon.
She was declared deceased on Thursday by medical staff.
Police say an autopsy will be performed in the coming week to determine the cause and manner of death. Further information will be released following the conclusion of the autopsy.
