12:00 – The Saskatoon Teachers’ Association has partnered with SaskTel and local school boards to distribute hundreds of cell phones to those kids who don’t have access to wireless data or devices to access the Internet. STA President John McGettigan says they hope to start by sending out 500 smartphones Monday, which can act as hotspots in the home and enable distance learning and other benefits. McGettigan joins Gormley to share details.
