The incoming NFL players are learning the NCAA isn’t the only organization with a long list of rules, regulations and expectations.
There are 58 players who have been invited to take part in this week’s virtual draft, when they’ll be sitting at home with limited family to take part in the show.
However, it’s not that simple to just set up a laptop.
Clothing rules are very strict with the basics, no politics, offensive words and so on. Of course, no logos unless they are NFL-approved. Oh, and no Coke on the table; the NFL is a Pepsi company.
And if you’re using wireless headphones to do the interview, Bose please — no iPods, as they are not NFL-friendly. Heck, one story I read says the players have to make sure if anybody is having yogurt, it has to be Dannone.
But there is one huge difference living by these rules rather than those of the NCAA.
The players will be making millions off the billionaires rather than making nothing while coaches, schools and conferences make billions from the athletes’ three to five years in college.
