Rob Gronkowski is back in the NFL, reuniting with quarterback Tom Brady with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The tight end brings more Super Bowl pedigree to the Bucs.
Clearly, Gronk realized that his singing career wasn’t going to take off with his appearance on The Masked Singer and that the WWE may not yet be the job he wants, but more importantly it’s nice to see the 30-year-old is healthy.
When he left the NFL at the age of 29, people could clearly see he was beat up. His back, shoulders and legs were all suffering the wear and tear of being a pass-catching, run-blocking wrecking ball.
Gronkowski has cut weight and needs to get back into “game shape,” but with it only being a year since he left the game, that shouldn’t be too tough.
Gronkowski also must be relieved he doesn’t have to be the main target for Brady like he was lately in New England, when the Patriots didn’t have any downfield threats.
The bigger question surrounding the two biggest stars in New England leaving this off-season is: Did they no longer want Bill Belichick or did Belichick no longer want them?
