Saskatchewan reported one new confirmed case of COVID-19 on Tuesday — its lowest such number in more than a week.
The last time Saskatchewan had just one case was April 20.
The new case, which is in the Regina area, raises the provincial total to date to 366.
Three more people have been declared recovered, increasing the total so far to 291. Five people have died in the province since the pandemic started.
Seventy cases are considered active. That includes 42 cases in the far north, nine in Regina, nine in the north, seven in Saskatoon, two in the central area and one in the south.
There are eight people in hospital, including six — three each in the north and Saskatoon — receiving inpatient care. Two people are in intensive care in Saskatoon.
Of the 366 cases, 150 are community contacts (which includes mass gatherings), 138 are travel-related, 43 are being investigated by public health officials and 35 don’t have any known exposures.
There have been 150 cases in the Saskatoon area, 75 in the Regina area, 69 from the north, 46 from the far north, 15 in the south and 11 in the central region.
To date, 38 health-care workers have contracted the virus.
So far, there have been 132 cases in the 20-to-39 age range, 125 between the ages of 40 and 59, 68 in the 60-to-79 range, 30 involving people 19 years of age and under, and 11 in the 80-and-over range.
There have been 28,632 COVID-19 tests performed in the province thus far.
