9:45 – The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities sent a letter to the Municipalities of Saskatchewan protesting the group’s name change away from its former moniker “Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association.” SARM says the new name is misleading as the group doesn’t represent all municipalities in the province, and can create confusion. SARM’s letter called for the Municipalities of Saskatchewan to cease and desist its use of the new name, and threatened legal proceedings if they continue to use the name. Municipalities of Saskatchewan President Gordon Barnhart joins Gormley to respond.

10:00 – Mark Humphries, history professor and author of “The Last Plague: Spanish Influenza and the Politics of Public Health in Canada,” has been a strong advocate for antibody testing in Canada, saying it would allow us to return to normal sooner and avoid some of the negative impacts social isolation has on child development, mental health, nutrition, education, domestic violence and more. Humphries joins Gormley to continue their conversation on the lessons Canada can learn from 1918’s Spanish Flu pandemic.
