Regina police are searching for two men involved in an armed standoff on 5th Avenue near Argyle Street on Saturday morning.
They were called at about 8:30 a.m. after residents reported what they believed were multiple gunshots.
According to police, a man approached a silver SUV in a parking lot and pointed a gun at it. The driver — another man — got out and pointed a gun back at him, police said.
One of the men fired several rounds, police said.
“Police have no information suggesting anyone was injured during the incident. This doesn’t appear to be a random act however; the incident itself posed a significant risk to the public,” read a news release.
The first suspect is described as “Aboriginal, approximately 20 years old with short hair wearing a black T-shirt with a slim build.
The second one is described as a man in his 30s, wearing a black T-shirt, with a heavy build with short hair.
