A 76-year-old Regina man is facing impaired driving charges after an incident Saturday that sent a pedestrian to hospital.
According to the Regina Police Service, officers were sent to the 4100 block of Preston Crescent at about 9:20 p.m., for a report that a vehicle had struck a woman and then had been driven into the closed garage door of a house.
When police arrived, they found an injured woman on the road. She subsequently was taken to hospital by EMS with what were described as serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers then found a man inside the vehicle, which had hit the garage door as well as the vehicles parked inside the garage. He was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm and failure/refusal to comply with a demand when involved in an accident causing bodily harm.
He’s to appear in court on July 8.
