The 2020 Shake the Lake music festival has been cancelled due to the uncertainty created by COVID-19.
In a Facebook post Thursday, organizers announced the festival — which was scheduled for Aug. 28-29 — would not be going ahead.
“As we prepared to announce our lineup for 2020, we continued to watch the pandemic evolve with hopes our festival would be able to go ahead,” the post read.
“However, with the uncertainty of when mass gatherings will be allowed along with the unknowns surrounding international travel for our artists, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event.”
The event has been held on the grounds of the Conexus Arts Centre in each of the past two years.
