The Regina Police Service has charged two men from Odessa in connection with a string of recent break-ins to businesses in the Queen City.
The men, ages 41 and 45, were arrested after an investigation into thefts of electronic items, cellphones, computer equipment and accessories. One of the accused also is alleged to have been in possession of quantities of drugs and drug trafficking paraphernalia at the time of his arrest.
In a media release, police said the men were charged in connection with break-ins to businesses on March 25 in the 3700 block of Chuka Boulevard, April 3 in the 1000 block of Stockton Street North, April 6 in the 4500 block of Albert Street, and April 6 in the 300 block of McCarthy Boulevard North.
Investigators identified suspects and arrested one of the men Thursday. A search of his car found drugs, money and items connected with drug trafficking.
Officers got search warrants for two homes and found electronic equipment believed to have been stolen. The second man was arrested later Thursday.
The men made their first court appearances Thursday afternoon.
