Rush turned an 8-3 fourth quarter deficit into a 9-8 victory in its home opener.
A large brush fire closed Highway 14 between Biggar and Perdue for over an hour on Saturday, as RCMP asked people to avoid the area.
Police noted the smoke from the fire was causing “near zero visibility” in a release sent around 3 p.m.
Locals on social media said the fire was also affecting several grid roads south of the highway.
Massive wildfire east of Biggar between Biggar and Perdue. Wind blowing. Started by train, so it was lit along the track for several miles. Highway 14 is closed. Facebook friends say RCMP are calling for all trucks with water tanks. Drop and go, please!
