A 12-year-old boy has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run incident Saturday in Regina.
According to the Regina Police Service, officers responded at about 3 p.m., to a report that a vehicle had struck a fence and multiple sheds in an alley in the 1500 block of Elphinstone Street. The driver had run away after the collisions.
Officers determined the vehicle had been reported stolen to the RCMP.
Investigators subsequently located a youth whom they believe was driving the vehicle at the time of the property damage. The boy, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with failing to stop after an accident.
His first court appearance is set for Oct. 7.
