Huskie Athletics is mourning the loss of two of its own.
In a release Friday, Huskie Athletics says two former football players passed away in separate incidents.
Matthew Baraniuk and Samwel Uko both played for the team in the late 2010s. Head coach Scott Flory released a statement on the two late-players.
“Everyone within our Huskie football family is stunned and incredibly saddened at the loss of these young men,” he said. “Right now, my thoughts are with their families, friends and teammates.”

Huskie Athletics says anyone in need of assistance can visit the online Student Wellness Centre.
It offered its sincere condolences to the families of the two, as well as those close to them.
Huskie Athletics asked for people to respect the privacy of the teammates of the two young men at this time.
