A Hafford man was charged with alleged child pornography offences following a Tuesday search warrant.
In a release Wednesday from the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, charges against 55-year-old Kelly Beleznay stem from an investigation that began in Feb. 2020.
The investigation began following many complaints about a person accessing child pornography through a “popular Internet browser,” according to the release.
On Tuesday, the Saskatchewan ICE Unit with the assistance of Blaine Lake RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in Hafford, the identified location where the offences were occurring. Child pornography was found at the home, and a laptop and USB storage devices were seized for further forensic analysis.
Beleznay was arrested at the home and has been charged with one count of possession of child pornography, and an additional count of accessing child pornography.
Beleznay was held in custody overnight and appeared in Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Saskatoon. He was remanded for a show cause hearing on Friday.
