A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Regina on Tuesday evening.
At about 6:15 p.m., officers responded to a weapons call in the 1100 block of Queen Street. At the scene, they found a woman with stab wounds.
The woman’s injuries were described by police as serious but not life-threatening.
A man who was seen walking away from the scene was arrested by officers, who found a knife in the man’s possession.
In addition to the attempted murder charge, he also was charged with possession of a weapon. He made his first court appearance Wednesday.
