Regina fire crews were busy responding to a pair of early-morning fires Thursday.
The first occurred in the 5000 block of Green Jewel Boulevard East in The Greens neighbourhood.
Regina Fire and Protective Services says it got the call to go to the apartment around 12:20 a.m., and the first truck was on scene in about six minutes.
Police officers actually were the ones who noticed a fire on a fourth-floor balcony. Smoke made its way inside the home but the people inside were able to get out unharmed.
Crews got to the balcony and kept the flames from getting inside.
A few hours later around 3:05 a.m., firefighters responded to a call to vacant, boarded-up home on the 1900 block of Montreal Street.
There were flames at the front and back of the home, but crews once again put them out before the fire could spread inside the home. No injuries were reported and no one was found inside the home.
