8:30 – Students in Saskatchewan’s K-12 schools will return for in-person classes as early as Sept. 1. Education Minister Gordon Wyant made the announcement Tuesday, saying health and safety continues to be their priority. While the goal is to return to class as normal, a number of backup plans are in place, and potential adjustments to schools could include online learning, alternative entrances, or staggered class times. Wyant joins Drew to discuss the return to school for Saskatchewan students.

Pratt, whose family has a long history in policing, says there are many success stories but racism has sadly become a major problem and even become systemic in some cases. Pratt joins Drew to discuss some of the incidents of racism that he’s seen and experienced throughout his life, and how we can work together to eliminate these issues from society.

12:00 – Jenn Sharp, Saskatchewan food activist and author of “Flat Out Delicious: Your Definitive Guide to Saskatchewan’s Food Artisans,” says buying good food can be a challenge, as many of our markets are overflowing with cheap, imported, hyper-processed foods. She’s starting a new web series called “Flat Out Food: Eat Better,” featuring Saskatchewan food artisans and aiming to encourage people in this province to get curious about their food and learn more about local producers. The first episode is set to launch Thursday, and Sharp joins Drew to tell him more.
