Environment Canada has issued a weather advisory for regions of eastern Saskatchewan.
The weather service says conditions are favourable for the development of funnel clouds.
It says these types of funnel clouds are generated by a weak rotation which is usually not a danger near the ground, but can intensify and become weak landspout tornadoes.
The advisory is in effect for Kamsack, Canora, Preeceville, Moosomin, Grenfell, Kipling, Wawota, Yorkton, Melville and Esterhazy.
Environment Canada says if conditions worsen, it may issue watches or warnings.
