A 34-year-old Regina man has been charged after a break-in at a Regina business resulted in a spin around the city in a Porsche.
According to the Regina Police Service, a call was received Tuesday at about 10:20 p.m., that a vehicle had been stolen from a shop in the 200 block of Albert Street.
Officers determined a car that had been parked inside the shop had been driven through the closed garage door and taken northbound on Albert Street.
Police later saw the car — a 1983 Porsche 944 — in the Glen Elm neighbourhood. When they stopped the car, a man was taken into custody without incident.
After officers found evidence from the scene of the break-in on his person, the man was charged with break and enter and commit theft, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and breach of conditions.
He made his first court appearance Wednesday.
