For the second straight weekend, people in Regina eager to get their fix of going out to the movies can have a safe, socially distanced option.
A drive-in movie theatre that opened up last weekend in the parking lot of the Northgate Mall is back again — and it will continue for the foreseeable future.
Jennifer Edworthy runs All In Event Services, the company organizing the theatre. She was very happy with the initial response from attendees.
“People have been super-positive (and) super-happy that there’s something to do. We actually sold out all three nights,” she said of the theatre’s first weekend of operation.
Concessions are available, and films run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets cost $30 for one vehicle.
The lineup this weekend includes Aladdin on Friday, Bad Boys for Life on Saturday, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on Sunday.
Tickets must be purchased in advance on the All In Event Services website. One dollar from every ticket purchased is donated to the Regina Humane Society.
